Pink Freud成军于1998年，是当代爵士甚至更多的音乐风格领域中最具独创性的乐队之一。乐队促就一代波兰爵士乐的改变，并且凭借实力打开了独立音乐的发行市场，为要求越来越高的现代听众重新定义了爵士创作。

他们的音乐彻底打破了传统即兴形式的限制，用古典乐器结合最新的电子音乐设备，从朋克、摇滚，到drum and bass，然后到丛林、dub，再到实验和电子，串联起各种各样的音乐风格。

乐队获得过许多重量级的奖项：2010年，《Monster of Jazz》获波兰广播电台第三频道年度专辑；2007年，2008年和2010年，三度赢得《Jazz Forum》杂志评选的Jazz Top最佳电子乐队等等。

Pink Freud不仅仅活跃在音乐圈，他们也曾数次为无声电影进行配乐并获得良好的反响，其中最为热烈的是他们为Henryk Szaro的电影《Strong Man》所作的配乐作品。2011年，他们作为配乐作者受邀在该电影于伦敦巴比肯中心举行的首映式上演出。在不久的将来，另一部有关《Horse & Power》专辑制作的纪录片也将面世，与此同时，还会发行“Horse & Power”巡演中的一场演出的蓝光碟。

Pink Freud founded in 1998, is one of the most original voices in contemporary jazz and more. The band has contributed to changes in the generation of Polish jazz scene and opened publishing market on the strength of independent music. Formation redefined jazz composition for the benefit of modern and demanding audience. Their music goes far beyond the canons of traditional forms of improvisation and even classical instruments are enriched with the latest electronic musical tools, which borders on different styles from punk and rock, through drum and bass, jungle and dub to the experimental electronic music.

Spring 2012 is a hot time for Pink Freud. Premiere of latest album, the band titled “Horse & Power” and a huge tour. The long-awaited album is 11 tracks inspired by the shared experiences of the band touring eg from Japan, Sweden, France, Hungary and Polish. Album was produced in cooperation with Roli Mosimann – who worked as a producer with Faith No More, The Young Gods and The The, and Marcin Cichy producer, co-founder of the legendary duo Skalpel issueing for the prestigious label Ninja Tune. Album garnered excellent reviews from critics around the world: “Above all, this music, apart for its quality, intelligent compositions and excellent execution, manages to be such fun. The band has scored many prestigious awards, including: Record of the Year 2010 at program 3 of Polish Radio for an album with the title “Monster of Jazz”; triple win in the prestigious survey Jazz Top of Jazz Forum magazine as the best electric band in 2010, 2008 and 2007, etc.

Pink Freud is not just music. The band had the opportunity several times to successfully compose the soundtrack to silent films. The project, which reflected the largest echo is “Strong Man” by Henryk Szaro. Enthusiastically received premiere of the film with music by Pink Freud, performed live, took place at The Barbican in London in 2011. In the near future we can expect another movie, this time it will be a document showing the scenes work on the album “Horse & Power”. Simultaneously released will be a concert from the tour “Horse & Power” in the audiovisual form of BlueRay.

[1] Ninja Tune is an independent record label based in London. Inspired by a visit to Japan, founders of the label Matt Black and Jonathan More primarily created Ninja Tune in 1990 as a means to escape the creative control of major labels. Music Week has written that Ninja Tune is one of the most credible independent labels in the UK.

Jazzpospolita在成军六年之后，已经变成另类音乐（alternative music）里最有趣的现象级乐队之一。乐队最新专辑《Jazzpo!》在波兰引起了极大的反响，也使这支乐队开始在国外初露锋芒。

他们在准备和录制《Jazzpo!》上花了整整一年半时间，这张专辑可以算是乐队早前三张作品的总结，但与此同时，也给了听众带来了新的惊喜。专辑里11首全新原创作品是在一个知名的工作室现场录成的，未经任何剪辑和修改，所有的作品都是录制时原汁原味的声音。《Jazzpo!》是一张精心制作的专辑：从悉心打磨的作曲、精确选择的音色，到复古珍藏乐器的使用，再到打破传统的录音方式，当然最后还有赏心悦目的唱片设计。不论是乐迷还是记者都一致认为这是Jazzpospolita有史以来最好的作品。

乐队至今已发行了4张专辑，在欧洲举办了超过200场演出。乐队的阵容自组建就以来就一直没有变过——吉他、贝斯、键盘和鼓，也因而形成了辨识度很高的音乐风格。Jazzpo（粉丝对乐队的昵称）的强大之处在于，他们的音乐风格能在爵士乐、后摇和电子乐之间自在游走，过瘾的吉他和电音与爵士旋律碰撞交融，造就了他们独一无二的原创作曲。也正因如此，他们广泛地吸引了不同品味的受众，在不同类型的音乐活动上都能受到欢迎，无论在爵士俱乐部还是流行音乐节，都可以看到他们的身影。

Six years into their career, Jazzpospolita has become one of the most interesting phenomena in alternative music. Their latest album titled “Jazzpo!” has taken the Polish alternative scene by storm and starts to make some noise abroad.

It took them one and a half year to prepare and record “Jazzpo!”. The album summarizes their three previous releases, but at the same time, surprises the audience with freshness and incorporates Jazzpospolita’s newest inspirations. This is how 11 brand new original pieces came about and were recorded live in a renowned studio. No editing was ever made; all the compositions sound just the way they were played during the session. “Jazzpo!” is a well refined album: starting from carefully polished compositions, precisely chosen sounds and vintage instruments, through the unconventional recording method, finishing with beautiful artwork. Fans and journalists have unanimously regarded the new album as the best piece in band’s history.

So far, they have released four albums and played about 200 gigs all around Europe. With the band’s line-up unchanged from the beginning – guitar, bass, keys, drums – they have established their own and distinguishable sound. The strength of Jazzpo, as called by fans, lies in the unique compositions that place the band on the edges of jazz, post-rock, and electronic music. Combination of jazz harmonies, overdriven guitars, and electronic sounds enabled the band to attract a widely varied audience as well as to perform at jazz clubs and major popular festivals.
