Daniele Martini出生于罗马，自2007年开始生活在布鲁塞尔。作为一个极具原创性且不拘一格的音乐人，他一直坚持不懈地探索着自己在爵士和实验音乐上的创作道路，而这份国际化的事业也让他得以与众多来自不同音乐背景的伟大音乐人同台演奏，包括Nate Wooley、Chris Corsano以及Fela Kuti的Africa ’70的成员Oghene Kologbo和Tony Allen等。他曾在欧洲大部分国家、美国和中国演出，其中值得一提的是，他与Nicola Lancerotti一起参演了2014年的OCT-LOFT国际爵士音乐节，而今年则是作为AY!的乐队成员参演。在中国，他也曾“混入”北京的实验音乐圈，和李剑鸿、朱文博玩过一些重型即兴。

通过他最具实验性的独奏项目，他向我们展示了他对技术扩展和萨克斯与电子设备的交互效果所进行的深入研究——从调制过的带效果的萨克斯声，到扩音器的反馈嚣叫，他使用所有可能的素材来进行即兴创作。

作为DIY的倡导者，Daniele已经构想好了他的首张唱片《Mono Primo》：他计划把它做成即兴作品的精选集，皆由他亲选曲目并烧录至CD，且每一张的内容都不一样，使得张张唱片都独一无二。

Born in Rome but based in Brussels since 2007,  Daniele Martini is steadily making his way as an original and eclectic figure of jazz and experimental music.An international career has brought him to perform aside great musicians of very diverse musical backgrounds, such as Nate Wooley, Chris Corsano, or Oghene Kologbo and Tony Allen of Fela Kuti’s Africa ’70 and in most of countries of Europe, the States and in China, notably at OCT-LOFT Jazz Festival with Nicola Lancerotti in 2014, and in 2016 with Ay!. In China he had also the occasion to mingle with the Beijing experimental scene, pairing with Li Jianhong and Zhu Wenbo for some heavy-duty improv.

With his cutting-edge solo project he displays a deep research of extended techniques and interaction of the saxophone with electronics, using anything from the modulated sounds of the saxophone with effects to the amp’s feedback as timbres to create instant composition.

A supporter of DIY, Martini has conceived his first release “Mono Primo” as a selection, every time different, of improvised tracks that are handpicked and burned on CD, making each copy unique.

Malika Tirolien自幼便受到艺术的熏陶——祖父以诗歌带给她启发，祖母是钢琴家，父亲则是一位自学成才的多乐器演奏家。耳濡目染之下，她也立志成为一名艺术家，在十来岁时便开始了唱歌。她离开家乡瓜德罗普岛，来到蒙特利尔大学学习爵士乐，很快便作为Kalmunity[1] Jazz Project、 The Kalmunity Vibe Collective以及嘻哈灵魂乐团Groundfood的一员，活跃于蒙特利尔的爵士乐舞台。

作为一位极具舞台表现力的艺人，Malika在太阳马戏团（Cirque Du Soleil）的《La Nouba》[2]中担任主演，与备受尊敬的艺术家Lara Fabian和Alain Jean-Marie同台演出。她的表演吸引了融合爵士乐团Snarky Puppy的创始人Michael League，获邀成为该乐队格莱美获奖现场专辑《Family Dinner》中的八位人声之一，由她演绎的那首与Frederick Varre共同创作的《I’m Not the One》成为那场传奇演出的压轴曲目。她的舞台表现，她精确而深情的演绎，她的态度和她的力量，让观众为之深深着迷。只要看一眼这场高人气演出的视频，你就会明白——Malika才华横溢；而更令人折服的是，她能够真正地打动人心。她真诚地歌唱，源自人性深层的力量让在座的每一位观众产生共鸣，甚至激发了同台的乐队去呈现感情更为丰富的表演。她另一支同场录制的音乐视频《Sew》融合了爵士、灵魂乐和少许说唱元素，同样让观众们倍感惊艳。

[1] Kalmunity是由创意总监兼鼓手Jahsun创立于2003年、一众知名艺术家组成的加拿大规模最大的艺术集合体，他们每周聚集在一起，组织了两个加拿大运营时间最长的音乐即兴活动。

Malika Tirolien was raised in an artistic environment — her grandfather inspired her with poems, her grandmother was a pianist, and her father was a self taught multi-instrumentalist. This background shaped her will to become an artist, and she began singing as a teenager. Leaving her home in Guadeloupe for the University of Montreal, Malika studied jazz and quickly became a part of the Montreal jazz scene as part of the Kalmunity[1] Jazz Project, The Kalmunity Vibe Collective, and the hip-hop fused soul group Groundfood.

A powerful stage performer, Malika took the lead in Cirque Du Soleil’s “La Nouba”[2] and has appeared with respected artists Lara Fabian and Alain Jean-Marie. Her performance caught the eyes and ears of Michael League of Snarky Puppy and she was invited to perform as one of eight vocalists on the Grammy winning release Snarky Puppy’s “Family Dinner”. Her performance closes the now legendary performance with the powerful version of Malika’s song (with Frederick Varre) “I’m Not the One”. Her stage presence, her precise and soulful delivery, her attitude, and her strength absolutely captivate the audience. One look at the popular video of the performance tells the story — Malika has IT; but even more compelling is Malika is truly believable. She sings with a heartfelt, human power that connects everyone in the room, inspiring even the live band to deliver more emotion. Her follow up video, “Sew”, from the same sessions amazed audiences with a combination of jazz, soul, and a touch of Rap.

Malika’s new release — “Sur La Voie Ensoleilee” speaks of a positive, enlightened, and determined worldview. All of her life’s influences can be felt as Malika moves from Carribean vocals and rhythms from her native Guadeloupe to soul and jazz, to urban Montreal’s take on hip-hop. Delicate and precise, Malika’s universal voice is clear and compelling throughout. It is no surprise that the music is hard to place in one category, but of course that is what defines musical courage and exploration.
