This young trio which has the extraordinary composition of tenor saxophone, trombone & drums, has, in the shortest of time acquired a very positive reputation. Within the first year of its existence, Three Fall has won the Leverkusen Jazz festival competition “Future sound 2008” as well as performing on numerous Jazz Festivals supporting for McCoy Tyner, Nils Petter Molvaer and Medeski, Martin & Wood.

This Band delights its audience with its joyful playing, its cheeky hip hop attitude, its fresh energy and especially its search for mystical moments whether it be in day to day living, in jazz or in the tranquil moments of life.

DLB Jazz Group

National, Pioneer, Electronic, Jazz, Rock, and Funk mixes with a lot of improvisation, which makes up the DLB Jazz Group. Those three modern musicians from Shenzhen represent Shenzhen’s new level in modern music performance and music creation. The DLB Trio has just finished their tour around 10 cities in China in the beginning of 2014. This autumn, the refreshing DLB Jazz Group with a new member Li Xing, will be staging on the 4th OCT-LOFT Jazz Festival.

Wang Xubo

Wang Xubo, who comes from Dalian, is a composer, an avant-garde musician and also the bassist of DLB Jazz Group. In 2005, he immerges into Jazz. Influenced by Dave Holland, his performance was aggressive. Meanwhile, he is particularly interested in Chinese traditional opera. Not only creating and playing traditional music, he also cooperates with many avant-garde musicians both at home and abroad. Most of his original works are in the discography of DLB Jazz Group. Now he is the bass teacher of Jinzhong Conservatory of Music, Shenzhen University.

Deng Boyu

Deng Boyu is a drummer of many bands, and he is sophisticated in Rock, Jazz and Improvisation music. He is also an avant-garde electronic musician, indulged in minimalism atmosphere. His sound is sensitive and dedicate with whimsy rhythm. He has his own perspective about music.

Li Lin

Li Lin, who plays keyboards in DLB Jazz Group, is also the important people of returnee generation and now is active in the China contemporary music scene. After graduation from Composition in China Conservatory of Music, he went to France for further study on piano. Li Lin is accomplished in mixing the characteristic of various folk music around the world with the performance of modern music. He also put these concepts into the performance of DLB Jazz Group.

Now he is a keyboard teacher of Jinzhong Conservatory of Music, Shenzhen University.

Li Xing

Li Xing is a jazz guitarist who was born in Hohhot Municipality, Inner Mongolia. He lives in Shanghai now.

He is good at the melange of various music styles, such as Rock and Roll, Free Jazz, Blues, Environmental Experiment, Avant-Noise and many other music styles. Furthermore, he has his own unique understanding of timbre, which makes the sound hypnotic. And his own understanding about his music is “To show the harmony and contradiction in human beings’ awareness of freedom.”
