The band Streifenjunko and Kim Myhr have created strongly impact in the creative music of Norway and Europe in the past few years. Streifenjunko Duet is a rare combination with tenor saxophone and trumpet, which generate one kind of dynamic music. Tenor Saxophonist Espen Reinertsen and trumpeter Eivin Lønning employ a special performing skill to represent purity and openness. Besides, they used to collaborate with these famous musicians and artists such as Keith Rowe, Tetuzi Akiyama, Toshi Nakamura, Jim Denle, Christian Wallumrød, Sidsel Endresen and Kjell Bjørgeengen.
Kim Myhr is coming to the front around the world in recent years and gave performance such as his solo, trio with Mural and art project “Stems and Cages”(Streifenjunkos is part of the project). This art project entered the 2010 Victoriaville Art Festival in Canada and it is considered as one of the highlights.
